The Little Boltons, Kensington London

This delicate project involved digging and stabilizing a new basement under an existing building in a busy residential area.  We were required to install multiple piles around all sides of the structure to act as a retaining wall.  This then allowed us to fully excavate the basement.

We were performing wide diameter drilling into “London Gravels”, which made the drilling a challenging project.  Throughout the project our drilling rig operators were working around load-bearing columns and walls that couldn’t be disturbed.

Due to the difficult nature of this project and our ability to deliver with excellence, the project was nominated for an ICE Award in 2008.
